The Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Kobakhidze, has suggested that the United States restart relations with Georgia, saying it would benefit both countries. This announcement was made during a press conference, as reported by Ukrinform and Report.
"The Georgian authorities offer the USA to restart relations and hope for counter-steps from Washington," Kobakhidze stated.
He explained that relations between Georgia and the US have faced problems over the past three to four years, and it's time for a fresh start.
"We want to offer our American partners a different agenda, which means a reboot. You know how much has gone wrong in our relations over the past three to four years. Against this background, Georgian-American relations need a reboot," he said.
Kobakhidze is hopeful that the US will take practical steps to help rebuild this partnership.
Additionally, it's been noted that more Georgians now see Russia as the main enemy of their country, showing an increase in this view compared to previous years.
