Russian President Vladimir Putin has pledged to ensure that the state continues to support the participants of the - according to Putin - 'special operation' in Ukraine upon their return home.
Putin made this promise during a conversation with participants of all-Russian competitions.
"I am very hopeful that our guys, who are currently fulfilling their duty as part of the special operation, will return to civilian life... The state must and will do everything in its power to support them," emphasized Vladimir Putin during the event.
The meeting was broadcasted by the "Russia 24" TV channel according to Ura News.
In January, Vladimir Putin also participated in the "Together We Will Win" forum for veterans of the special operation.
During this event, the Russian leader stated that supporting the veterans of the special operation becomes a priority for the state.
Since the beginning of the special operation in Ukraine, the Russian government has been implementing various measures to support its servicemen.

Kolesov had ended up in prison due to theft, and from there, he claimed to have been forced into the war. In the conflict, he lost both his legs and receives no assistance in getting up and down to his apartment, which requires him to 'climb stairs'.
