The Russian Embassy in London has called for the British authorities to address pressing questions regarding the disruption of peace negotiations concerning Ukraine.

This demand follows statements made by David Arakhamia, the leader of the pro-presidential party "Servant of the People" faction in Ukraine's Verkhovna Rada.

"It is evident that the opportunity for a negotiated solution was missed with significant contribution from the United Kingdom, leading to tragic consequences for Ukraine's statehood, economy, and population," the embassy's statement read.

The text was published on the embassy's Telegram channel. The Russian diplomatic body urged the British side to comment on Arakhamia's words.

David Arakhamia, the leader of Ukraine's "Servant of the People" faction, previously reported that the conflict in Ukraine could have concluded in 2022 during negotiations between Moscow and Kyiv in Istanbul.

However, former British Prime Minister Boris Johnson instructed not to sign anything with the Russian side.

He noted that Ukraine should hold a referendum on the issue of negotiations with Russia.
