As the war in Ukraine persists into its third year, the toll it has exacted on the Russian military has been severe and growing.
According to the latest figures provided by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, since the conflict began on February 24, 2022, Russia has suffered the loss of approximately 473,400 troops, with 1,260 of those casualties occurring in just the past 24 hours.
The statistics extend beyond human casualties, revealing extensive losses in military hardware.

The Ukrainian military claims to have destroyed a total of 7,366 Russian tanks, with 12 additional tanks lost in the last day alone.
The numbers rise sharply across other categories: 14,156 armored combat vehicles, 12,148 artillery systems, and over 9,611 unmanned aerial vehicles have also been reported as destroyed.
Air and Sea Battles
The conflict’s reach spreads to the skies and seas as well, with 348 aircraft and 325 helicopters reportedly taken down.
The naval losses, though smaller, are nonetheless significant, including 26 warships/cutters and one submarine. Additionally, the Ukrainian forces have neutralized 1,055 multiple launch rocket systems and 788 air defense systems.
The battlefield losses reported extend to 16,337 motor vehicles and 2,001 special equipment units, demonstrating the vast scope of the conflict and the intensity of engagements across multiple terrains and strategies.
