Russian media outlets are circulating a fabricated video falsely attributed to United24 Media.

Russian propaganda channels have been caught circulating fake news on the popular social media platform Telegram.

According to United24 Media, a fake video, falsely attributed to the outlet, is being spread within Russian news circles. The video reportedly shows footage of Ukrainian soldiers in the Kursk region allegedly suffering fatal poisoning after consuming stolen products from local supermarkets.

United24 Media has firmly denied the authenticity of the video, stating that it never published such content.

The fake video is part of a broader effort by Russian propagandists to discredit Ukrainian soldiers, particularly those involved in operations in the Kursk region.

By fabricating these stories, they attempt to portray Ukrainian forces as looters who mistreat the local population — a stark contrast to the reality, where Ukrainian soldiers are known to act with respect and integrity towards civilians.

This is not the first time the Center for Countering Disinformation (CPD) has identified fake content falsely attributed to United24 Media.

The CPD and United24 urge the public to rely only on official resources and verified sources of information to avoid falling victim to such propaganda.
