On September 4, Russian Kh-47M2 "Kinzhal" ballistic missiles flew through Belarusian airspace before striking the Ukrainian city of Lviv.

This information comes from the Ukrainian airspace monitoring project "monitor."

Two Russian MiG-31K supersonic interceptors launched the missiles from Russia’s Tula region. They then crossed into Ukraine through the Gomel region of Belarus, specifically the Bragin and Narovlya districts.

The missiles traveled about 100 kilometers over Belarus before reaching Lviv at 05:47 a.m., where they inflicted damage.

The missiles passed through a restricted flight zone that has been in place along the Belarus-Ukraine border for over two years.

Belarus has previously allowed Russian military aircraft and missiles to enter its airspace, both with governmental approval and during emergency situations.

This is not the first time Russian weapons have entered Belarusian airspace.

Recently, the Belarusian Air Force intercepted a Russian kamikaze drone in the Yelsk district, which stayed in Belarusian airspace for about 20 minutes before being shot down by Belarusian fighter jets.

Eyewitnesses reported hearing at least two explosions and seeing a bright flash in the sky before the drone was destroyed.
