Russia has started the third stage of its non-strategic nuclear exercises, involving troops from the Central and Southern Military Districts and the Aerospace Forces.

These exercises are focused on preparing the military for the possible use of non-strategic nuclear weapons, according to a report from the Russian Defense Ministry.

The exercises are being carried out under the orders of Russian President Vladimir Putin.

During this phase, troops will practice tasks like obtaining special training ammunition for the Iskander-M missile systems, loading this ammunition onto launch vehicles, and moving these vehicles to designated positions in preparation for simulated launches.

In addition, the Aerospace Forces will practice equipping aircraft with special weapons and flying to designated patrol areas.

According to a report by Russian state media TASS, the Defense Ministry stated that this exercise is aimed at ensuring both personnel and equipment are prepared for the potential use of Russia's non-strategic nuclear weapons if needed.

This phase follows earlier stages where other military units conducted similar preparations.
