Andrew and Tristan Tate, controversial British millionaires and social media personalities, have been arrested once again by Romanian authorities on serious charges, including human trafficking, sexual exploitation of minors, and involvement in an organized crime group.
30 Victimes of their Activities
Accoriding to Digi24 their arrest follows an extensive investigation by the Directorate for Investigating Organized Crime and Terrorism (DIICOT), which included a thorough search of their 3,000-square-meter residence in Voluntari.
This is the second time the Tate brothers have been detained in Romania, with prosecutors now alleging over 30 victims in connection with their activities.
The new charges add to the legal troubles the brothers have faced since their initial arrest in June 2023, when they were accused of forming an organized crime group and trafficking women.
Authorities believe that the brothers used the "Loverboy" method to lure women into their circle, only to later force them into sex work and online video streaming under duress.
Six Hours of Questioning
Several associates of the Tate brothers, including Alex Stanciu, Alex Donea, Georgiana Naghel, and Luana Radu, have also been detained in connection with these charges. The arrests followed nearly six hours of questioning at DIICOT headquarters.
Tristan Tate has voiced his frustration, claiming that authorities are doing "anything to put me in prison" and criticizing what he perceives as a lack of due process.
Andrew Tate has taken to social media, comparing his situation to that of former U.S. President Donald Trump and WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange, suggesting that he is being targeted for speaking the truth.
