Pavel Durov, the founder and CEO of the messaging platform Telegram, was arrested over the weekend in France. He is currently in police custody and faces potential imprisonment for up to 20 years.

Fathering over 100 Children

According to El economista French authorities allege that Telegram may be linked to various criminal activities, including fraud, organized crime, and drug trafficking.

This incident has drawn attention to Durov, who has recently made headlines for an astonishing personal revelation: he claims to be the biological father of over 100 children.

In a recent social media post, Durov shared that 15 years ago, a friend struggling with infertility asked him to donate sperm at a clinic.

Initially taken as a joke, Durov later recognized the seriousness of the request. After consulting with the clinic's director about a growing shortage of quality sperm donors, he decided to contribute.

To his surprise, his donations have helped more than 100 couples across 12 countries conceive.

Pride in Healthy Sperm

Despite having stopped donating years ago, Durov noted that some of his sperm is still frozen at a clinic for anonymous use by families looking to conceive.

He expressed pride in addressing the global shortage of healthy sperm and aims to destigmatize sperm donation, encouraging other men to participate.

Durov’s arrest occurred as he disembarked from his private jet at Le Bourget Airport, just northeast of Paris, after returning from Azerbaijan. French law enforcement acted on a previously issued arrest warrant related to his app.
