Donald Trump’s return to the presidency has reignited debates over immigration, a central theme of his campaign.

Throughout the race, his administration promised to crack down on undocumented workers and secure U.S. borders.

However, a new investigation has revealed a troubling contradiction within his support base.

According to Digi24, Liz and Dick Uihlein, owners of Uline and key financial backers of Trump’s campaign, are under scrutiny.

Their company allegedly employed Mexican workers on tourist and B1 training visas to staff their warehouses—a potential violation of immigration and labor laws.

Allegations Against Uline

The Uihleins’ Uline reportedly transported dozens of workers from Mexico for roles in their Wisconsin facilities.

Using visas meant for training or tourism, these individuals were allegedly put to work performing routine warehouse duties for months at a time.

Immigration attorneys have raised concerns, calling the alleged practice exploitative and likely illegal.

One legal expert told The Guardian that B1 visas are not intended for regular employment. If the claims are substantiated, Uline may face significant legal and reputational challenges.

The Uihleins’ actions seem at odds with their political messaging. As the second-largest Republican donors in the 2024 election cycle, they spent millions backing candidates advocating stricter immigration enforcement.

Their Super PAC, Restoration PAC, ran ads attacking Vice President Kamala Harris for an alleged “immigration crisis” at the southern border.

Critics argue that the Uihleins' alleged reliance on undocumented labor undermines Trump’s platform.

While publicly denouncing illegal immigration, their company may have benefited from its loopholes.

This controversy arrives at a critical juncture for Trump’s administration. As he gears up to implement hardline immigration policies, these allegations underscore the complexities of enforcing such measures.

Uline has yet to comment on the accusations, and legal proceedings could further illuminate the situation.
