Following a significant diplomatic forum in Antalya, Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan has made a compelling call for the initiation of ceasefire discussions in Ukraine, emphasizing the urgency of dialogue to Reuters.
Critical Dialogue with Russia
In a notable meeting with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov on March 1, Fidan highlighted the extensive discussions held, including the pressing war in Ukraine.
Fidan articulated a critical viewpoint, suggesting that initiating ceasefire talks does not equate to an acknowledgment of Russia's occupation. He stressed the importance of addressing sovereignty and ceasefire as distinct issues, aiming for a constructive pathway towards peace.

"This has to stop somehow," Fidan asserted, urging for immediate discussions and a collective movement towards the cessation of hostilities.
