The Biden administration is preparing a new $725 million military aid package for Ukraine, as reported by Reuters.

This package, drawn from U.S. military stockpiles under the Presidential Drawdown Authority (PDA), includes a range of weaponry to strengthen Ukraine’s defenses against Russia.

The aid package will feature anti-personnel mines, which Ukraine requested to slow Russian advances, despite their prohibition under international treaties. After much debate, the Pentagon recently approved their supply, emphasizing their effectiveness in halting enemy offensives.

Other key components include anti-tank weapons, Stinger drones, and man-portable anti-aircraft missile systems (MANPADS) to enhance Ukraine's air defense capabilities.

Additionally, the package includes GMLRS rockets, some of which will be cluster munitions, for HIMARS artillery systems.

The official notification to Congress is expected by December 2, though the final details of the package could change before President Biden's approval.

This aid package follows President Biden’s recent appeal to Congress for an additional $24 billion in military and humanitarian aid to Ukraine.
