US Secretary of State Marco Rubio has arrived in Saudi Arabia.

Rubio is set to meet Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman to discuss a range of geopolitical issues, including President Donald Trump's proposal on Gaza, according to The New York Post and Interfax.

Rubio’s visit is part of a broader diplomatic tour, which includes stops in Israel and the UAE from February 15-18, as reported by the US State Department.

According to Axios, an American-Russian meeting on Ukraine is expected to take place in Saudi Arabia on February 18, though details remain scarce.

The talks follow Trump’s controversial phone call with Russian President Vladimir Putin, in which the two leaders reportedly discussed potential paths to ending the war in Ukraine.

Trump has previously suggested Saudi Arabia as a neutral venue for negotiations between the US, Russia, and Ukraine. However, Kyiv has firmly rejected direct talks with Moscow unless European allies are included.

Rubio’s visit comes at a time of heightened US-Saudi relations, with Washington seeking to balance its interests in the Middle East while Trump pushes for a diplomatic resolution to the Ukraine war.
