If there was the slightest doubt about whom the Hungarian prime minister would prefer to see win the upcoming presidential election in the USA, there is no longer any doubt. In a social media post, Viktor Orban praises Donald Trump, going as far as to say that the world needs Trump now more than ever before.
"President Donald Trump was a president of peace. He commanded respect worldwide and created conditions for peace. During his presidency, there was peace in the Middle East and peace in Ukraine. We need him back more than ever!" wrote the Prime Minister of Hungary, Viktor Orban, following his visit to the USA.
Viktor Orban met with the former U.S. President Donald Trump at his estate in Florida during his ongoing visit to the United States since Thursday.
The meeting also included the participation of Hungary's Foreign Minister, Peter Szijjarto, who traveled to Washington on Thursday with the ratification documents regarding Sweden's accession to NATO.
The Hungarian Prime Minister lauded the former U.S. President in a poignant social media post.
"There would not have been a war (in Ukraine) if he were still the President of the USA. I am proud that Hungary is one of the countries that desired peace. When President Trump returns, we will breathe new life into the trade relations between Budapest and Washington. The decision lies with the citizens of the USA, but I must honestly admit that the quickest return of Donald Trump to power is in the best interest of the world and Hungary," said Viktor Orban in a video published on social media.
