On January 24, White House Press Secretary Caroline Leavitt announced that the administration of President Donald Trump has begun deporting illegal immigrants.
"The Trump administration has deported hundreds of illegal immigrants via military aircraft," Leavitt shared on social media, as cited by Interfax.
She also noted that since Trump took office, U.S. law enforcement has detained 538 illegal immigrants.
This development follows an executive order signed by Trump, granting authorities the power to act against illegal border crossings at the country’s southern border.
Additionally, on January 21, Trump signed an executive order declaring a state of emergency at the southern border to address ongoing immigration challenges.
