On a recent three-hour flight, a man found himself in a rather uncomfortable situation. He had taken the middle seat, aiming to stay hydrated during the journey.
He had read that dehydration occurs twice as fast on a plane, so he came prepared with two 40oz water bottles. However, his frequent trips to the lavatory didn't sit well with the woman in the aisle seat next to him.
The man, who remains anonymous, shared his experience on Reddit. He explained that he had chosen a middle seat due to budget constraints and didn't usually mind where he sat.
But as the flight progressed, the woman next to him grew increasingly annoyed. She was trying to sleep, and each time he got up, she would sigh, roll her eyes, and groan.
After his third bathroom visit, the woman asked if he could "hold it" for the remainder of the flight so she could get some sleep. The man, however, didn't want to compromise his hydration.
He continued to drink water and make subsequent trips to the bathroom. When he got up for the fourth time, the woman accused him of being rude for not adhering to her request.
The man defended himself, stating that he had three options: dehydrate, wet himself, or go to the bathroom. He chose the latter as the most sensible option.
The woman even questioned if he had a bladder issue, to which he responded that it was none of her business. He offered to switch seats, but she declined. Eventually, a flight attendant got involved and sided with the man.
