In a recent presidential decree, President Volodymyr Zelensky has appointed Oleg Ivashchenko as the new head of the Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine.
This appointment comes after a series of changes in Ukraine's national security leadership. On March 26, Zelensky dismissed Oleksiy Danilov from the role of Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine.
Following Danilov's dismissal, Zelensky named Oleksandr Litvinenko, the then-head of the Foreign Intelligence Service, as his replacement.
The presidential decree simply stated: "To appoint Oleg Ivanovich Ivashchenko as the head of the Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine."
