The world's largest dog, measured by height, is now officially the American dog Kevin according to the Guinness World Records.
The impressive Great Dane lives in Iowa with his family and has brought great joy with his incredible size.
Ten Cups of Food
The family consists of Tracy Wolfe, her husband Roger, and their two children aged 10 and 12. Kevin, who is three years old, measures a whopping 96 centimeters in height and requires ten cups of dog food a day to maintain his large physique.
Tracy Wolfe expresses pride in Kevin's record and affectionately describes him as a "big baby." Kevin is named after Kevin McAllister, the famous character from the Christmas movies "Home Alone."
Great Danes are known for their impressive size and are counted along with Irish Wolfhounds as one of the world's largest dog breeds. Despite his enormous height, Kevin is a gentle giant with a list of things he is afraid of. Tracy Wolfe mentions, for example, that Kevin fears the vacuum cleaner and even the measuring tape, which made it difficult to measure his height for the Guinness World Records.
Loves to Take Naps
Kevin's favorite activity is taking a nap on the couch, although he often tries to squeeze himself into small beds, unaware of his own size. Tracy Wolfe says, "Kevin's favorite activity is taking a nap on the couch. I don't think he realizes how big he is. He continually tries to squeeze into small beds."
Although Kevin is now the tallest living dog, he is not the tallest dog ever. That honor belongs to Zeus, another Great Dane, who was measured at a whopping 1.11 meters by Guinness World Records in 2011.
Kevin is truly a gentle giant, and his record has brought great joy to the Wolfe family. His unique combination of size and kindness makes him an extraordinary and beloved part of their lives.
