Kamala Harris hits milestone after milestone.

Trending Now

Vice President Kamala Harris’ political operation raised over $300 million in August, more than double the amount collected by former President Donald Trump’s campaign during the same period, according to NBC News.

Although the sources did not provide the exact figure, the substantial amount—covering both the campaign and related entities—indicates that the fundraising momentum has continued following President Joe Biden’s announcement on July 21 that he would not seek re-election.

Harris’ next campaign finance disclosure is due on September 20. Plans are also underway for several fundraisers this month, potentially in cities such as New York, Atlanta, Los Angeles, and San Francisco.

Milestones for Harris

In August, Harris’ campaign achieved significant milestones, including selecting Minnesota Governor Tim Walz and hosting a high-profile, four-day convention in Chicago.

Since Harris assumed leadership of the campaign, officials reported raising over $540 million.

In contrast, Trump’s campaign reported raising $130 million in August, with nearly $300 million in cash reserves.

The Trump campaign noted that 98% of donations for the month were under $200.

Trump campaign senior adviser Brian Hughes remarked that these fundraising figures reflect the campaign’s momentum and are intended to support Trump’s return to the White House, aiming to reverse what he sees as the failures of Harris and Biden.
