A video from 2020 featuring Vice President Kamala Harris showcasing her impressive cooking skills has recently gone viral, garnering nearly 5.5 million views by mid-July.

The video, part of her "Cooking with Kamala" series, captures Harris expertly cracking an egg with one hand, a technique that has sparked admiration across social media.
Originally released during her presidential campaign, the video shows Harris in a kitchen, laughing and preparing cookie dough with ease.
"This is the beginning of any good cookie recipe. When I was a kid, I would take a spoon... I mean, butter and sugar? What could be better?" she exclaims, clearly enjoying herself.
A Cook Book On The Way?
Her culinary prowess did not go unnoticed. Keiry Palma, a pastry and baking instructor at the Culinary Education Institute of New York, praised Harris’s egg-cracking technique as "professional level."
Palma explained that Harris's method of using her index finger to separate the eggshell halves indicates advanced skill. "Learning to crack an egg varies from person to person," Palma said, noting that achieving a clean break without shell fragments is challenging and considered an intermediate-level skill.
Beyond her egg-cracking abilities, Harris’s "Cooking with Kamala" series showcases her passion for cooking.
Filmed at the start of the 2020 presidential campaign, the series features Harris preparing creative recipes with celebrity guests and voters. It also explores diverse culinary traditions, reflecting America's multiculturalism. For example, in Iowa, Harris learned to cook fried apples with bacon and "monster cookies."
Her Thanksgiving turkey preparation tips and her method for making masala dosa, a popular Indian dish, also went viral.
Given her evident cooking talents, some are even wondering if Harris might one day release a cookbook—a guaranteed bestseller if she does.
