American entrepreneur and billionaire Elon Musk has called for the resignation of the head of the US Secret Service following the assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump.

Two Attempts on His Life

According to Lenta Musk made the demand in a post on his social media platform, X (formerly Twitter).

"The head of the Secret Service and the chief of this division should resign," Musk declared.

Musk also revealed that there have been two attempts on his own life in the past eight months. He noted that the suspects were arrested with weapons approximately 20 minutes away from Tesla's headquarters in Texas.

Demands Accountability

The assassination attempt on Trump occurred on the evening of July 13.

The shooting began while Trump was speaking about his opponent, Joe Biden. The former president interrupted his speech, grabbed his ear, and then dropped to the floor. Secret Service agents quickly covered him and evacuated him from the scene.

Musk's demand for accountability comes amid heightened concerns over security for high-profile individuals. The incidents involving both Trump and Musk highlight the increasing threats faced by prominent figures in the current political and social climate.

The call for resignation is a significant move, reflecting Musk's growing influence and willingness to speak out on national security issues. As the investigation into the attempt on Trump’s life continues, the pressure on the Secret Service to ensure the safety of those under its protection is intensifying.
