Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump made a surprising stop at a McDonald’s in Pennsylvania on Sunday, October 20, where he manned the fry station before holding an impromptu press conference through the drive-thru window.

Takes a Lot of Skill

As reporters and staff looked on, an employee showed Trump how to dunk fries in oil, salt them, and package them using a spatula. Trump, a known fan of fast food and self-proclaimed germophobe, was amused that he didn’t have to touch the fries with his hands.

"It actually takes a lot of skill to do it right and do it fast," he joked, donning an apron over his shirt and tie.

The visit comes as Trump continues to question Vice President Kamala Harris's claim that she worked at a McDonald’s during college, according to Ziare.

Without evidence, Trump has suggested that her story is untrue. Harris, in a recent interview, stood by her statement, recalling her time at the fast-food chain decades ago.

Happy Birthday, Kamala

A crowd gathered outside the McDonald’s in Feasterville-Trevose, Bucks County, where Trump later handed out food to drive-thru customers. Wearing the apron, he leaned out of the window to answer questions from the press, saying he would accept next month’s election results "if they’re fair."

When asked what he’d say to Harris on her 60th birthday, Trump said with a grin, "Happy birthday, Kamala," and added, "Maybe I’ll send her some flowers."

Trump didn’t directly answer a question about raising the minimum wage after watching the McDonald’s employees, but commented, "These people work hard. They’re great."

Before leaving for his next event, Trump joked about holding a press conference at the drive-thru, saying, "Wasn’t this a weird place for a press conference?"
