Recent rumors and speculations have only added to this curiosity, especially after Duchess Kate underwent a mysterious abdominal surgery and then disappeared from public view for several months in early 2024.

According to an anonymous insider who spoke to the Daily Mail, the life for Kate and William is surprisingly ordinary.

Since their move from Kensington Palace to Windsor two years ago, the royal couple has reportedly opted for a more hands-on approach to parenting, choosing to forgo a nanny and other household staff.

Instead, they handle everything themselves — from cooking to cleaning — creating a home environment that is much more relatable than many might expect.

"People would be surprised to see how ordinary life is in their home," the source revealed.

The children, just like in any other household, are expected to help with chores such as setting the table, washing dishes, and tidying up after meals.

"There is no special treatment. Catherine is very, very natural. She keeps the family firmly on the ground," the insider added.

Kate’s Health and Family Life

The insider also touched on Kate’s recent health challenges, including a reported cancer diagnosis.

Despite this, Kate has insisted on maintaining the normalcy of their family life.

"Home is a safe haven," the source explained. "In order for everything to function as smoothly as possible, she wanted everything to run normally for the sake of the children."

The kids are still expected to do their chores and contribute to the household.
