According to Prince William, the Princess of Wales is showing signs of improvement in her battle with cancer, bringing relief to royalists worldwide.
The heir to the British throne recently confirmed that his wife is doing better and expressed her regret at missing a recent royal outing.
During a D-Day anniversary celebration, alongside King Charles, Queen Camilla, and other royals, Prince William provided an update on Princess Kate's health.
"Yes, she is better and she would have loved to be here today," the prince replied when asked about his wife, according to The Sun.
Princess Kate has been on sick leave from her royal duties all year after a stomach operation revealed cancer. Shortly before Easter, she shared in a moving video that she had begun preventive chemotherapy.
Since starting treatment, the princess has not attended official events. However, Vanity Fair reported at the end of May that sources close to the couple said Princess Kate had "turned a corner" in her treatment.
"It's been a huge relief that she can cope with the medication and she's doing better. It's obviously been a challenging and worrying time. Everyone has rallied around her—William, her parents, and her sister and brother," a source told Vanity Fair.
It is not yet known when Princess Kate will return to her royal duties. Speculation surrounds her potential participation in upcoming major events, but no official announcements have been made.
On Friday, Prince William and their son will attend the wedding of the Duke of Westminster, Hugh Grosvenor, which is the biggest wedding of the year in Britain.
It remains unclear whether Princess Kate will be present at this event.
