The British Queen Camilla turns 77 today, July 17.

While many might expect a day filled with royal celebration and personal indulgence, Queen Camilla's birthday will be anything but typical.

Prince William and Princess Kate have already marked the occasion with a heartfelt congratulatory message on Instagram.

Despite the warm wishes, Queen Camilla's special day will also be marked by her royal duties.

Official Duties

According to The Standard, Queen Camilla will be actively engaged in official duties alongside her husband, King Charles.

The highlight of the day includes accompanying him to the opening of the English Parliament. This grand event is steeped in tradition, with King Charles donning the regal purple crown adorned with diamonds, gold, silver, pearls, sapphires, and other precious stones.

Buckingham Palace has confirmed that both the king and queen will be wearing their ceremonial robes upon arrival at Parliament. The opening day is always a spectacle of grandeur, filled with pomp and ceremony, and attended by the British monarch.

Private Celebrations

While the official duties will take up a significant part of the day, it is likely that Queen Camilla will also have a private celebration.

The royal couple's public appearances and official events are typically followed by more intimate gatherings with family and close friends.

The opening of Parliament comes after the royal couple has visited Jersey and Guernsey, among other places.
