Prince Harry is facing accusations of "widespread harassment and intimidation" from the chairwoman of Sentebale, a charity he co-founded in 2006 to support young people with HIV and AIDS in Lesotho and Botswana.

The allegations come after Harry and co-founder Prince Seeiso of Lesotho resigned, along with the board of directors, following a dispute with chairwoman Sophie Chandauka.

In an interview with Sky News, Chandauka criticized Harry’s handling of his resignation.

"At one point on Tuesday, Prince Harry authorized the publication of damaging news to the outside world without informing me or my country directors or my chief executive. You can imagine what that attack did to me and to the 540 people in Sentebale organizations and their families."

Neither Prince Harry nor his representatives have commented on the allegations. Sky News reported that he and Meghan Markle declined to provide an official response. A source close to the charity's trustees suggested the resignations were a preemptive move against what they saw as a publicity stunt, adding they stood by their decision to step down.

Harry and Seeiso, in a joint statement, described the breakdown in relations between Sentebale’s administrators and Chandauka as "devastating." Chandauka had previously alleged that the charity suffered from "poor governance, poor executive management, abuse of power, intimidation, harassment, misogyny, and misogynoir." In a separate interview with the Financial Times, she claimed she was asked by Harry’s team to shield Meghan from negative media coverage but refused.

Meanwhile, Prince Harry is also under scrutiny in the U.S., where documents related to his visa application were partially released following a court ruling. The Heritage Foundation has accused him of concealing past drug use, which could have impacted his eligibility for a U.S. visa. These allegations stem from his memoir Spare, in which he admitted to using cocaine, marijuana, and psychedelic mushrooms.

U.S. visa applications require disclosure of past drug use, which can lead to denial, though immigration officials have discretion in their decisions. The released documents provided little new information, as Harry’s visa application form was not made public. The Heritage Foundation continues to seek further disclosure, appealing a prior ruling that found insufficient public interest in the matter.

Prince Harry moved to the U.S. in 2020 with Meghan Markle after stepping back from royal duties.

His exact visa status remains unclear, as Meghan is a U.S. citizen.
