China continues to make significant strides in its space program. Recently, two of its astronauts broke a long-standing spacewalk record held by the United States.

The two astronauts, Cai Xuzhe and Song Lingdong, set a new record for the longest spacewalk ever, completing it as part of their mission on the Shenzhou-19 spacecraft, writes Digi24.

The spacewalk lasted nine hours and took place just before 10:00 p.m. Beijing time.

The previous record was set by American astronauts James Voss and Susan Helms on March 12, 2001, with a spacewalk that lasted eight hours and 56 minutes.

China's achievement marks another milestone in its growing space program. The China Manned Space Agency confirmed the record-breaking event, showcasing China's ambition to lead in space exploration.

China has been rapidly advancing its space technology. It has completed a series of complex missions, including lunar exploration.

Earlier this year, China successfully brought back samples from the far side of the Moon, a historic achievement.

The country has also set its sights on becoming the second nation to land on the Moon, following the United States.

To prepare for this mission, China has developed a special spacesuit designed for lunar exploration. The mission is scheduled for 2030.

In recent years, space has become an important area of competition between countries. The space race now includes not just scientific discovery, but also concerns over resources and national security.

As China’s space program continues to grow, it is becoming a key player in global space exploration, challenging traditional space powers like the United States.

With this new record in spacewalks, China shows its growing capabilities in the field.

The success of Cai Xuzhe and Song Lingdong in breaking the spacewalk record is a clear indication that China’s space program is making rapid progress.

As the country pushes ahead with its space ambitions, it will likely continue to break more records and achieve new milestones in the years to come.
