Renowned rapper Kendrick Lamar is set to bring his musical talent to the Super Bowl stage.

Will You be There?

The 37-year-old artist announced on Sunday night that he will perform during the halftime show of Super Bowl LIX, taking place on February 9, 2025, at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans.

In a brief social media post, Lamar shared the news alongside a YouTube video of himself joyfully tossing footballs against a backdrop of a massive American flag.

“My name is Kendrick Lamar. I’ll be performing at Super Bowl LIX. Will you be there? I hope so. You know there’s only one chance to win the title. I don’t want you to miss it,” he said.

This performance will not be Lamar’s first Super Bowl appearance; he previously took the stage in 2022 during the halftime show alongside rap legends like 50 Cent, Snoop Dogg, and Eminem, although he had a smaller role at that time.

17 Grammy Awards

Lamar is no stranger to accolades, having won 17 Grammy Awards and being the first-ever rapper to receive a Pulitzer Prize for his debut album, m.A.A.d city, in 2018. His impactful music and lyrics have made him a significant voice in the hip-hop community.

In a statement, he emphasized the importance of rap music, stating, “Rap music is still the most influential genre there is. And I’ll be there to remind the world why. They picked the right one.”

The Super Bowl halftime show is widely regarded as a prestigious platform in American entertainment, showcasing past legends such as Michael Jackson, Rihanna, and Bruce Springsteen. Fans eagerly await what Lamar will bring to this iconic stage.
