Elon Musk, high-profile founder of Tesla and SpaceX and owner of the X platform, has recently voiced his opinion on Apple's latest announcement regarding its new AI initiative.
Yesterday, Apple revealed its new AI venture, titled Apple Intelligence, which includes a collaboration with OpenAI.
On his social media platform X, Musk expressed strong displeasure with Apple's new AI venture.
He described it as "unacceptable" and a "security breach," threatening to ban Apple products from his companies.
In a statement reported by Bloomberg, Apple emphasized that privacy protection is a central part of this new feature: "Privacy protection is built in when you use Chat-GPT within Siri, where requests are not stored by OpenAI and users' IP addresses are hidden."
In response, Musk announced that visitors to his companies may, in the future, have to leave their Apple products at reception if the ban is implemented.
