Despite the nearly $2,000 price tag of the Galaxy Z Fold 6, Samsung has come under fire for not including essential accessories such as an AC adapter or protective case with its latest premium device.

Paint Deteriorate

According to Ziare this omission has left users frustrated as they have had to purchase these items separately, only to discover that their new phones are prone to premature wear and tear.

Users have reported that the paint on their Galaxy Z Fold 6 begins to deteriorate after only a few weeks of use, particularly around the USB-C port.

This issue has been attributed to the use of non-official accessories, including AC adapters and USB-C cables that do not meet Samsung's design standards.

Samsung has responded by suggesting that these third-party accessories are the cause of the phone’s paint degradation and not the device’s build quality.

Users are Frustrated

The Galaxy Z Fold 6’s delicate finish appears particularly susceptible to scratches, especially when users employ non-Samsung cables and protective cases.

The company’s stance has sparked frustration among users who feel that they are being unfairly blamed for issues related to the phone’s design and build quality.

Samsung’s reaction mirrors a past controversy faced by Apple, where the company similarly suggested that user practices were to blame for signal issues with the iPhone 4.

As Samsung places the responsibility on users for choosing non-official accessories, owners of the Galaxy Z Fold 6 are now faced with a difficult choice: invest in expensive official Samsung accessories to avoid potential damage or risk the premature deterioration of their already costly device.
