WhatsApp has established itself as the leading platform for instant messaging. It's hard to imagine our daily lives without Meta's app, as we use it daily for both leisure and professional contexts. However, the reality is that millions of users are days away from saying goodbye to WhatsApp. Starting from February 29, they will no longer have access.
As we alerted you in January, a new feature will be introduced in March that will revolutionize how the app functions. We are talking about Conversations with Third-Party Apps, also known as interoperability. This means WhatsApp will allow users to communicate directly with other messaging applications, such as Telegram, Google Messages, iMessage, and others.
While this is a significant and important change for internet users, it brings bad news for millions of users, as those with older devices will lose access to the app. This is valid for those whose smartphones do not have Android 5.0 or higher or iOS 12.0.
