Samsung is officially kicking off the rollout of its highly anticipated One UI 7.0 update, based on Android 15 — and it's arriving earlier than expected.

Starting April 7, 2025, six of the company’s most recent smartphones will be the first to receive the software upgrade, which packs a range of performance enhancements, design improvements, and AI-driven tools.

These Galaxy Devices Are First in Line

If you own one of the following models, you’ll be among the first to experience One UI 7.0:

  • Galaxy S24

  • Galaxy S24+

  • Galaxy S24 Ultra

  • Galaxy S24 FE

  • Galaxy Z Flip 6

  • Galaxy Z Fold 6

While Samsung hasn’t confirmed whether the rollout will reach all regions at once, European users are expected to be among the first. The company previously hinted at an April 18 launch, but has now moved the timeline forward by nearly two weeks, according to German tech site Netzwelt.

What’s New in One UI 7.0?

One UI 7.0 delivers more than just a visual refresh — it’s a feature-rich evolution of Samsung’s Android experience. Key highlights include:

  • Deeper AI integration with Galaxy AI, expanding natural language recognition and enabling smarter app suggestions and real-time translations.

  • A revamped lock screen with dynamic widgets that change based on time, location, or usage habits.

  • Improved battery and performance management, especially noticeable on foldables like the Z Fold 6 and Z Flip 6.

  • Enhanced security controls and privacy dashboards, giving users more control over app permissions and background data access.

Samsung is expected to bring One UI 7.0 to more devices in the coming months, but exact timelines for the Galaxy S23 series, earlier foldable models, and Galaxy tablets have not yet been confirmed.

Alongside the software upgrade, Samsung is issuing a critical security update for selected models. Users are strongly advised not to delay installing it.

Ignoring the update could lead to performance instability or vulnerabilities, particularly in older models awaiting their turn for One UI 7.0.
