The woman, known by her TikTok username @girlcalledcatie, posted a video showcasing her body before she began her weight loss journey. The latter part of the video reveals her astonishing transformation after losing 62 kg (approximately 136 pounds). She underwent gastric bypass surgery to aid in her weight loss.

"I said goodbye to 62 kg and hello to a new chapter in my life," she captioned the video, adding, "I have a feeling my 30s will be my best decade yet."

Gastric bypass surgery involves removing a significant portion of the patient's stomach, leaving behind a tube-shaped section resembling a banana. This procedure is offered to severely overweight individuals to facilitate effective weight loss.

On average, patients lose between 25% and 30% of their body weight within one to two years following the surgery.

"Amazing. As someone in their 40s, I can say your 30s will absolutely be your best decade. Enjoy it," one user commented. Another added, "Wow! Huge respect to you for all the discipline behind this."
