April Parker and her partner thought they were just buying a house with a garden in Alabama. However, after signing the contract, they realized they wouldn't be the only ones living on the property.
The previous owners left behind their 10-year-old dog, Molly, and the family cat when they moved out.
Upon purchasing the house, the couple immediately went to check on the animals. In a TikTok video, April walks through the garden and eventually encounters Molly, who had been tied between two trees for days.
The previous owners had left the dog with just a bowl of water and a transport crate for shelter.
Initially, Molly appears wary of April. However, when April greets her with the words, "Baby, you're getting a new home," the dog's demeanor changes, and she begins to wag her tail.
April vows on TikTok that Molly will never be tied to a tree and left alone again. The couple keeps their promise, adopting both Molly and the family cat. While the cat prefers to stay outside, Molly enjoys being close to her new owners. "She's literally glued to our side," says April.
