A man from Suzhou, in East China's Jiangsu Province, has become an overnight sensation on Chinese social media, as well as on platforms like Facebook and Twitter.

The reason: he is the spitting image of Elon Musk, the world's richest man.

The look-alike's videos, originally posted on the Chinese version of TikTok, have gone viral.

In the clips, the man is seen standing next to a luxury car, occasionally smiling at the camera. His appearance and expressions are uncannily similar to Musk's, with the key difference being his distinctly Chinese accent when he speaks.

According to Global Times, the internet has been buzzing with amusement and amazement at Musk's "doppelganger," with users giving him nicknames like "Elon Mosaic," "Clone Musk," and even the Chinese name "Yi Long Musk."

Even Elon Musk himself responded to the buzz on Monday, playfully suggesting, "Maybe I'm partly Chinese," when replying to his "long-lost twin brother."

However, not everyone is convinced.

Some netizens have raised suspicions that the man's face might have been altered using AI face swap technology to mimic Musk's features.

In response to these accusations, the man announced in a recent video that he plans to do a livestream on Sunday to prove his authenticity, after his video was reposted more than 10,000 times.
