President Joe Biden’s 2024 campaign recently unveiled an impactful advertisement that leverages Donald Trump's past disparaging remarks about U.S. service members and veterans.
The ad, which has quickly garnered over 24.5 million views on social media, was praised by MSNBC's Joe Scarborough on his show 'Morning Joe' for its effectiveness in using Trump’s own words against him.
This approach, according to Scarborough, is 'brilliant.'
The ad features Trump's previous comments, including calling fallen soldiers 'suckers' and criticizing the late Sen. John McCain’s Vietnam War capture.
Emphasizing respect for the troops, the ad concludes with a strong message: 'If you don’t respect our troops, you can’t lead them.'
Trump, who never served in the military and received five draft deferments during the Vietnam War, once told radio host Howard Stern that avoiding STDs was his own 'personal Vietnam,' a statement that has also drawn criticism."
