The soldiers of Ukraine’s 54th Separate Mechanized Brigade successfully stopped a Russian assault in the northern direction, demonstrating their skill and determination on the battlefield.

According to Militarnyi, the operational-tactical group "Luhansk" shared a video showing the battle. The footage reveals that Russian forces used armored vehicles and infantry in their attack. However, Ukrainian defenders quickly spotted the enemy’s movements and launched a coordinated counterattack.

Ukrainian forces destroyed several Russian armored vehicles.

After this, Russian infantry, who had exited their BMP vehicles, tried to take cover in a forest strip. Ukrainian drone operators and artillery struck back hard, using cluster shells and explosives dropped from drones to drive them back.

The video shows two Russian combat vehicles burning in an open field. "A new kind of 'heater' for the Russian advance in the northern direction has been switched on!" the Ukrainian military joked in their message.

The "Luhansk" group praised the 54th Brigade for destroying both Russian troops and their equipment.

Recently, soldiers from the "K-2" battalion of the same brigade also shared footage of an unusual Russian attack. In it, Russian forces tried to storm Ukrainian positions using modified VAZ "Zhiguli" cars. These cars had their roofs and doors removed, replaced with anti-drone grilles and camouflage nets.

Earlier, the "K-2" battalion also captured a Russian T-90S tank. This tank was equipped with anti-drone grilles, electronic countermeasures, cameras, and a homemade trawl.

The T-90S is known for its distinctive trapezoidal "Indian" armor block, which replaces the less effective "Shtora" searchlight on other models.
