According to a report published by the Gaza Health Ministry, Israeli military attacks have killed 68 Palestinians and wounded 77 others in the past 24 hours alone.

Violence has been escalating in the region, with 15 people reported dead since midnight on August 29, as specified by teams on the ground.

EU foreign policy chief Josep Borrell has expressed concern that Israel’s major military incursion into the occupied West Bank could lead to a broader conflict.

Borrell warned against extending the war beyond Gaza and echoed fears of a repeat of the widespread destruction seen in the Palestinian enclave.

In a related development, the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) has suspended staff movements across Gaza after one of its clearly marked humanitarian vehicles was hit multiple times by Israeli gunfire at a military checkpoint. This was reported by Aljazeera.

The ongoing Israeli military operation in the occupied West Bank, the largest in decades, has resulted in at least 18 Palestinian deaths and dozens more wounded as of Wednesday. This military action follows the Hamas-led attacks on October 7, which resulted in the deaths of an estimated 1,139 people in Israel.

The overall death toll in Israel's war on Gaza has reached at least 40,602, with 93,855 people wounded since the conflict began.
