In an overnight operation on September 3, Ukrainian air defense forces destroyed 27 Russian Shahed-131/136 drones.
The attack also included three Iskander-M/KN-23 ballistic missiles launched from Crimea and a Kh-59/69 guided missile from the Kursk region, as reported by the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Telegram.
The enemy launched a total of 35 Shahed drones from the Kursk region and Cape Chauda in Crimea, with Ukraine's air defense forces, aviation, anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare teams, and mobile fire groups working together to repel the attack.
As a result, 27 drones were shot down, while six were lost in location.
There have been no reports of destruction or casualties.
In addition to the drones intercepted, two more Russian UAVs were seen heading towards the Belgorod region of Russia and the temporarily occupied Donetsk region.
The anti-aircraft defense systems were active across multiple regions, including Kyiv, Odesa, Kharkiv, Mykolaiv, Kherson, Poltava, Chernihiv, and Sumy. An air alert was declared in Kyiv and several eastern and central regions during the night, underscoring the ongoing threat to Ukraine's skies.
