Lukashenko reported that Ukrainian strike drones had entered Belarusian airspace, prompting immediate action from the country's air defense forces. The Belarusian military heightened its readiness, with aircraft and helicopters deployed to intercept the incoming threats.

According to Lukashenko, around ten drones were involved, some of which were destroyed over Belarusian territory, while the remaining ones were intercepted by Russian forces near Yaroslavl.

Condemned as Provocations

Defense Minister Viktor Khrenin confirmed that Belarusian military units, including Iskander tactical missile systems and Polonez multiple launch rocket systems, have been deployed to the Gomel and Mozyr tactical areas.

Special operations and ground forces have been mobilized, and there has been an increase in the capacity of anti-aircraft, radio-technical, and aviation units.

Lukashenko condemned the drone incursions as provocations and underscored Belarus’s readiness to respond. He expressed confusion about Ukraine's intentions and warned that Belarus would not tolerate further provocations without a response.

Despite the increased military readiness, Lukashenko reassured Belarusians that the country does not seek war but is preparing for potential conflicts as a precaution.
