The war in Ukraine has lasted nearly three years, with no clear resolution in sight.

What began as a large-scale invasion has turned into a prolonged conflict with heavy losses on both sides.

As the fighting continues, Western military aid plays a key role in Ukraine’s defense.

Weapons supplied by NATO countries have given Ukrainian forces the ability to strike deeper into Russian-held territory.

These attacks have led to repeated warnings from Moscow, with officials accusing the West of direct involvement in the war.

He Claimes it is inevitable

A retired Russian general and pro-Kremlin lawmaker, Andrei Gurulev, has now issued a threat against the United Kingdom.

Speaking on Russian state television, he claimed that it is "inevitable" that Russia will strike Britain in response to Ukraine's use of British-supplied Storm Shadow missiles.

He stated that Russia has no other choice and that it is only a matter of time before such an attack happens, according to Ziare.

"If, today, Britain strikes our territory with its missiles from Ukraine, everyone realizes that it won’t fly anywhere without NATO control systems and satellite navigation," Gurulev said.

The Russian Ministry of Defense reported that six Storm Shadow missiles were launched into the Bryansk region on Tuesday. Russian officials claimed they were all intercepted.

Two additional missiles were reportedly shot down over the Black Sea. Moscow described the attack as the largest Ukrainian aerial assault on Russian territory since the war began.

Ukraine has targeted chemical plants and fuel depots in Russia, leading to further Russian missile strikes on Ukrainian infrastructure.

Power stations were hit, forcing emergency blackouts in several regions. Ukrainian officials urged civilians to remain in shelters and follow government updates.

Gurulev suggested that Britain could be wiped off the map as a result of its involvement in the war.

"I believe this is a direct reason why Britain simply will no longer exist on Earth," he said. "And I am not the only one who thinks this. I believe 80% of the world will applaud us."

Russian media figures have previously discussed using the "Satan-2" missile, also known as Sarmat, against Britain.

The intercontinental ballistic missile can carry multiple nuclear warheads and travel at over 15,000 mph.
