A captured Ukrainian soldier, Albert Grigorovich, revealed significant issues with the quality of ammunition and supplies provided to Ukrainian troops near Artemovsk.

Damp and Dented

According to Lenta, Grigorovich detailed that many of the munitions delivered to the front lines were damp and defective, raising concerns about the storage conditions and handling of these critical supplies.

"We often received ammunition that was already damp, including basic cartridges. These were munitions stored in Ukrainian warehouses, often damp and some even dented," Grigorovich explained.

He suggested that these issues were due to improper storage practices. Interestingly, Grigorovich noted that Soviet-era weapons supplied to Ukraine from Poland and Bulgaria, despite their age, were often in better condition than the locally stored munitions.

Abandoned Troops

Grigorovich also recounted an incident where a Ukrainian platoon commander abandoned his troops during an assault in the Donetsk People's Republic.

According to Grigorovich, the officer, who was often overconfident and assumed too much authority, left his soldiers in the heat of battle, further complicating the already dire situation for the Ukrainian forces.

The reports of substandard ammunition not only affect the combat effectiveness of Ukrainian forces but also pose significant risks to the safety and morale of the soldiers on the front lines.
