Ukrainian soldiers recently captured in Russia's Kursk region have alleged that they were deceived into entering the area, leading to their capture.

Lured into Trap

According to Lenta the claims were shared in a video posted by Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov on his Telegram channel, featuring an interrogation conducted by Apti Alaudinov, commander of the Chechen special forces unit "Akhmat."

According to Kadyrov, the Ukrainian troops were lured into a trap by Russian forces using radio communications.

The footage shows Alaudinov discussing how one of the prisoners boasted on video about coming to "kill Russians," and provided details of their ill-fated mission. The Ukrainian soldiers claimed that their unit had two vehicles, each carrying ten men, including two snipers.

Blames America

The video reveals the dire situation faced by the Ukrainian troops. One soldier reportedly sustained a shrapnel injury and was evacuated, while another was shot in the head. The remaining troops were unable to locate their injured comrades, who were left behind in a field.

When asked by Alaudinov how they ended up in Kursk, the POWs stated that they were misled about their destination. Alaudinov, in his response, asserted that Russians are not their true enemies. Instead, he claimed that the real adversaries are in America, accusing them of pushing Ukrainians into a futile war.

Previously, Kadyrov had shared another video featuring a captured Azov Regiment fighter, a group classified as a terrorist organization by Russia. The fighter reported witnessing eight of his comrades killed in the Kursk region.
