In a massive overnight offensive, Ukrainian Defense Forces shot down 50 Shahed drones used by Russian forces to strike across Ukraine, with 27 additional drones lost in various regions.
According to the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the assault began around 7:00 p.m. on November 3.
Russia launch 80 drones and an Iskander-M ballistic missile, targeting areas including the Dnipropetrovsk and Kharkiv regions.
The Ukrainian defense response involved anti-aircraft missile units, aviation, electronic warfare teams, and mobile fire groups to repel the attacks.
Key regions affected by the strike included Kyiv, Sumy, Odesa, Kherson, Mykolaiv, Zhytomyr, Cherkasy, Chernihiv, and Kirovohrad, where a total of 50 enemy drones were downed by Ukrainian forces.
This intense wave of drones is one of the largest overnight attacks in recent weeks.
The Defense Forces confirmed that Kyiv's airspace was successfully defended, with all drones targeting the capital shot down by the early hours of November 4.
