The fourth Finnish volunteer soldier who fought alongside the Ukrainian Armed Forces has died in Ukraine.

This information was reported by the Finnish news outlet Yle and confirmed by the Association of Combatants of Finland (Sodan Kokeneet ry).

The Finnish volunteer died in mid-July north of Donetsk.

The soldier's family has been informed, and the Finnish authorities have confirmed the information.

Juha Kreus, Executive Director of Sodan Kokeneet ry, stated that the Association is collaborating with both Finnish and Ukrainian authorities and received permission from the family to disclose the information.

Reports indicate that four Finnish volunteers who fought for Ukraine have died so far.

In February, Jussi Tanner, head of the consular service of the Finnish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, mentioned that about 20-30 Finns were fighting on the Ukrainian front.

Previous media reports suggested that there could be up to fifty Finnish volunteers involved in the conflict.

Recently, it was also reported that the first volunteer from Slovakia likely died at the front in Ukraine.
