Israel is edging closer to a full-scale war with Lebanon and the Shiite organization Hezbollah, based in the country, according to Israeli Foreign Minister Israel Katz.

A Full Scale War

Speaking on Israel's Channel 12, Katz addressed a recent attack on the village of Majdal Shams in the Golan Heights, as reported by Lenta.

Katz emphasized the gravity of the situation following the strike, which resulted in the deaths of at least 10 people, including children.

"The attack on Majdal Shams and the harm inflicted on civilians and children cross all red lines. Our response will be appropriate. We are nearing the point of a full-scale war with Hezbollah and Lebanon," Katz stated.

The incident marks a significant escalation in the already tense relations between Israel and Hezbollah.

The attack on Majdal Shams is seen as a serious breach, intensifying the conflict and raising concerns about a broader confrontation.

Earlier, Israel's ambassador to Russia, Simona Halperin, affirmed the country's preparedness for war with Lebanon.

However, she emphasized that Israeli authorities prefer to avoid escalation and are committed to resolving disputes with Lebanon through diplomatic means.
