Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has asserted that Israel will use all necessary measures to protect itself in the wake of recent escalations involving Yemen.

Prepared to Defend Itself

In a video statement posted on his official Telegram channel, Netanyahu emphasized that the country is prepared to defend itself on all fronts, warning that any aggressor will face severe consequences.

The escalation follows a recent drone attack from Yemen that resulted in the death of an Israeli citizen and injuries to several others. Netanyahu noted that this incident is part of a broader pattern of aggression by the Houthi rebels, who have launched hundreds of rocket and drone attacks against Israel since the onset of the Gaza conflict.

Airstrikes From Yemen

In response to these provocations, Israel has carried out airstrikes targeting Houthi positions in Yemen, including attacks on the port city of Hudaydah. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have confirmed these strikes as a reaction to the ongoing hostility from the Houthis.

The Houthis, represented by Mohammed al-Buhaiti, have vowed to escalate their military operations against Israel. Al-Buhaiti declared that the Israeli strikes will not deter their efforts and instead promised intensified actions in support of the Palestinian cause until the aggression against Gaza ceases.

Netanyahu has also called on the international community to support Israel in its fight against Iranian-backed forces and their allies in the region. He stressed that the recent violence is not an isolated incident but part of a larger pattern of hostile actions that Israel is committed to confronting with resolute defense measures.
