Trending Now

As of 6:00 a.m. on October 16, 2024, the Armed Forces Navy reported two enemy ships operating in the Black Sea, one of which is armed with Kalibr cruise missiles capable of launching up to four missiles, reports Ukrinform.

There are currently no enemy ships present in the Sea of Azov.

Additionally, the Ukrainian Navy noted that there are three enemy vessels in the Mediterranean Sea, with two of them also equipped with Kalibr cruise missiles, able to launch a combined total of up to twelve missiles.

Throughout the day, the Kerch Strait saw significant naval activity for the Russian Federation.

Ten ships entered the Black Sea, three of which continued toward the Bosphorus Strait. Meanwhile, eight ships moved into the Sea of Azov, with three coming from the Bosphorus.

In related news, Russian ballistic missile strikes on the Odesa port resulted in damage to two civilian vessels.

Notably, the dry cargo ship "OPTIMA," registered under the flag of Palau, suffered damage for the second time in these attacks.

The ongoing maritime developments underscore the heightened tensions in the region and the strategic military operations involving both Russian and Ukrainian forces.
