Ukrainian defenders in the Kherson region received a boost in their efforts to counter Russian forces, with the delivery of two trucks and 100 FPV strike drones.
The contribution was coordinated by the Kherson Regional Military Administration.
According to a statement from the regional military administration, Oleksandr Prokudin, head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration, praised the bravery of the soldiers defending the region.
"The courage of these soldiers allows us to respond effectively to the enemy and safeguard our region and Ukraine," Prokudin said during a ceremony honoring members of the Hrim special forces, National Guard, State Border Guard Service, and the 124th Marine Corps Brigade.
Local Communities Join Forces
The newly delivered FPV drones and trucks were funded by local communities, including those from Beryslav, Dariivka, Bilozerska, Muzykivka, Stanislav, and Yuvileyna, at a total cost of 1.5 million hryvnias.
Philanthropists contributed to the purchase of the trucks, showcasing a collective effort to support Ukraine's defense.
In an earlier show of solidarity, the Kherson Regional Military Administration entered the Ukrainian Book of Records with a unique creation—a “Sunflower made of drones.” The 33-meter-high and 16-meter-wide structure was formed using 411 drones, symbolizing the region's resilience and unity.
