Kyiv was under attack from Russian drones for several hours overnight on September 30.
Air raid sirens started after 1 a.m., and the all-clear wasn't given until after 6 a.m.
Throughout the night, explosions, anti-aircraft fire, and the sound of drones flying overhead were heard in different parts of the city.
Kyiv Mayor Vitalii Klitschko urged people on Telegram to remain in shelters, warning that drones were "over and near the capital."
In the Obolon district, the wreckage of one drone was found near a residential building, but no damage or injuries were reported.
Serhii Popko, head of the Kyiv City Military Administration, confirmed that all Russian drones targeting Kyiv were shot down. The city was attacked in several waves from different directions.
Ukraine’s Air Force said Russian forces launched 73 Shahed-type drones across the country, with 67 of them intercepted. However, it's unclear how many of these drones specifically targeted Kyiv.
Russian drone attacks on Kyiv have increased in recent weeks. On September 26, over 15 drones were spotted near the capital, with around 10 of them shot down by air defenses.
